FOOD CUPBOARD
Sign up to Volunteer
The St. Peter’s Food Cupboard distributes groceries every Saturday morning from the St. Peter’s Parish House at 313 Pine Street. All are welcome if they need food. We believe that no one should go hungry, and we make food available at no cost.
The Food Cupboard is possible through the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. Volunteers come from the church as well as our neighborhood and friends, and all are welcome!
On weekdays, volunteers sort and set up the food. On Saturday mornings, volunteers distribute food to clients. Currently, the St. Peter’s Food Cupboard provides food to about 80 local Philadelphia families each week. To sign up to volunteer, click the link below. No experience is necessary to volunteer, just sign up and when you come to volunteer, we will show you what to do!
If you have a large group (more than 5 people) that would like to volunteer, please email our Food Cupboard Manager Mara Blake-Ward at [email protected].
Make a Donation
The St. Peter’s Food Cupboard is always in need of donations. To make a monetary donation, click the donate button. Your donation is appreciated and will be put to great use feeding our neighbors.
Donate Food
The St. Peter’s Food Cupboard is most in need of individual packets of oatmeal, breakfast cereal, canned corn, rice, peanut butter, pasta, and canned soup such as Progresso or Campbell’s with meat. Regular-sized items are best so we can distribute the items across more families. It is difficult for us to distribute large bulk items.
Food can be donated on Saturdays from 8-10 a.m. when the Food Cupboard is open (at 313 Pine Street) or from 9 a.m. – Noon Sundays when the church has worship services (at the church at Third & Pine Streets). Or you can contact the church’s Parish Office at 215-925-5968 or email [email protected] to arrange a time to drop off items.
