Lent Madness

It’s time to play Lent Madness—a basketball-inspired holy competition to see which of 32 saints earns the coveted Golden Halo. St. Peter’s parishioners are invited to play along! Join us on Zoom at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 27, to get started.
The format is straightforward: 32 saints are placed into a tournament-like single elimination bracket. Each pairing remains open for a set period of time for participants to vote for their favorite saint. We narrow the field to 16, then 8, all the way to the final two in the Championship where one saint is crowned the winner. By the time Holy Week comes along, you’ll see how God works in the lives of ordinary people to shine the light of Christ’s love in a world in need of hope.For more information and to follow along, visit www.lentmadness.org.
The first round of voting begins on March 6 (aka Ash Thursday). There will be a large copy of the bracket in the church so everyone can track their status. Please join the fun!
