Rising costs have left many of our Food Cupboard clients not only short on food but necessary household items as well. Beginning in Lent, the Food Cupboard will offer a bag of household goods the first Saturday each month with cleaning staples many families cannot afford right now: laundry detergent sheets, dish soap, toilet paper, and disinfectant wipes.
We are committed to providing these necessary items to our Food Cupboard families, and want to plan on having enough supplies for 30 families for the entire calendar year. It will cost around $10/month per family, and for 30 families that comes to $3,600 total for the year.
During Lent, the St. Peter’s community has traditionally come together to raise money for an important cause. This Lent, we are asking you to consider sponsoring a family. For $120 you can provide these cleaning supplies to a family for an entire year. A month sponsorship would be $10. Any amount is wonderful and appreciated. You can donate online or by check (drop off at Parish House or at a worship service).
