Parishioners Abigail Bok and Ned Downie will lead a short contemplative service based on the prayer practices of the Taizé Monastery. Taizé is an ecumenical monastery in France that for more than 50 years has ministered to young people from around the world, to advance peace, trust in God, and mutual understanding. Prayer in the style of Taizé includes simple repetitive sung chants written in many different languages, as well as scripture readings and a period of silent prayer. All are welcome, no matter your singing ability or familiarity with Taizé! Abigail and Ned will teach the simple chants. The service lasts approximately 45 minutes, and we will share a simple supper in the Parish House following.
