Welcome to Lesser Known Women of the Bible

Judge Deborah on the Day of Deliverance.

This summer we will spend some time getting to know some of the lesser known women of the Bible; Abigail, Rahab, Phoebe, Deborah, the Woman of Samaria and others. While their stories may not be as well known to us as the story of Mary or Sarah, they are part of the stories that form us and of the Great Story of God. And, like many of us, while their stories are not particularly famous, they are stories of faith, of people who struggled with God, who were faithful and who acted.

Each week the Bible passages featuring the “Woman of the Week” will be posted here for you to read as well as some background information and a brief reflection. We will have the opportunity to discuss the stories on Sunday mornings from June 22 through August 17 at 10 am in the theater of St. Peter’s School. Join us!
