SUMMARY:Family Worship Service
DESCRIPTION:Although St. Peter’s welcomes children at all times\, a special service for young children and their families takes place at 9 a.m. every Sunday during the school year. This service nurtures children’s spiritual formation and growth through singing\, stories\, crafts\, and communion. It is a playful\, energetic service\, led each week by a member of the clergy and our Children’s Ministry Leader on guitar. This is a long-standing service at St. Peter’s\, often attracting 30-40 attendees each week. The Episcopal Church is in the midst of an unprecedented\, sustained focus on racial justice and reconciliation.” \nIf these words from The Reverend Canon Stephanie Spellers resonate with you\, join us on October 19 to discern a call to join our next Sacred Ground circle at St. Peter’s. \nSacred Ground is a dialogue series on race\, grounded in faith. Groups\, called circles\, meet together for eleven sessions and\, together\, walk back through history in order to peel away the layers that brought us to today\, and to do so in a personal way\, reflecting on family histories and stories\, as well as important narratives that shape the collective American story.
