SUMMARY:Family Worship Service
DESCRIPTION:Although St. Peter’s welcomes children at all times\, a special service for young children and their families takes place at 9 a.m. every Sunday during the school year. This service nurtures children’s spiritual formation and growth through singing\, stories\, crafts\, and communion. It is a playful\, energetic service\, led each week by a member of the clergy and our Children’s Ministry Leader on guitar. This is a long-standing service at St. Peter’s\, often attracting 30-40 attendees each week. DESCRIPTION:Join us as we explore the life and theology of Dietrich Bonhoeffer\, and the lessons we can use as we live at the intersection of faith and civic life today. Bonhoeffer was a Lutheran pastor and theologian living in Nazi Germany\, who eventually joined the resistance and was arrested and killed before the end of WWII. \nThis curriculum was compiled by Dr. Lori Brandt Hale\, an internationally renowned Bonhoeffer scholar and president of the International Bonhoeffer Society – English Language Section. Lutheran Advocacy Ministry in Pennsylvania is a partner in distributing to congregations to inspire deeper conversation and discernment about how we live as disciples.

SUMMARY:Philly Pride Festival & March
DESCRIPTION:St. Peter’s and several other Episcopal churches are coming together to participate at the Philly Pride Festival & March on Sunday\, June 7! Episcopal churches in Philadelphia will march in the parade and sponsor a table at the festival to show our support for the LGBTQ+ community and spread God’s message of love. \nAll St. Peter’s folks are welcome to march in the parade. Our group will assemble around 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Luke & the Epiphany\, with the march scheduled to begin at 11 AM. We will also sponsor a table from Noon-6 p.m. on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. If you are interested in marching in the parade or signing up for a shift at the festival table\, please fill out this online form at https://tinyurl.com/episcopalchurchpride and we will provide more details. \nEven if you aren’t volunteering at the table\, if you are at the festival\, please look for our table and come by to say hello!
