Clare Project Event

This summer, St. Peter’s Church and Christ Church are supporting the Clare Project, a program that assists those who are unsheltered and facing substance abuse disorder in Kensington. We have been collecting donations and items critically needed in the summer months, such as gauze, saline, lip balm, and ibuprofen. All are welcome to come to the Christ Church Neighborhood House (20 N. American St.) after the worship service on Sunday, June 29, to prep the items for distribution. Those driving can pick up a parking pass in Neighborhood House and park in the lot behind that building.
If you plan to join us, please email Rev. Sarah to let us know you are coming.
We are still accepting donations; you can make a financial donation here (select Clare Project from the drop-down menu).
The Clare Project was established in 2019 to minister to those who live on the margins of society. Clare Project members, with skill sets in medicine, emergency services, and pastoral care, have been a loving presence on the streets of Kensington, an area with one of the highest rates of overdose deaths in Philadelphia.
