Pastoral Care

God is Love. Where love is, there God is also – in laugher and in tears, in sorrow and joy, in birth and death, and all the other changes of life in between. Compassionate care for one another and for our neighbors is at the core of our life as a congregation of people at every age.

A priest is always available for pastoral emergencies, for counsel, visitation, and prayer.

The Pastoral Care Team

…is a group of parishioners who assist parishioners in need through prayer, providing food, or hands-on help.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers

Take Communion to people who are ill or homebound on an as needed basis. Requires training and licensing from the Diocese.

The Prayer List

St. Peter’s maintains a list of people for whom we have been asked to pray. This list is distributed regularly to a group of parishioners who pray for them. To add a name to this list, or volunteer to pray, please contact Kate.

Flowers

Celebrating an Anniversary, Birthday, or someone’s life? Consider giving thanks with a gift of altar flowers on the nearest Sunday. We will include the person or event in our prayers of thanks for that day. A gift of altar flowers is especially appropriate marking the anniversary of a death. They too will be included in the prayers. The cost for both vases is $55. Contact Kate Randall in the Parish Office.

Healing Rite

The laying on of hands and anointing with oil is offered on the second Sunday of each month. You may also arrange to meet with a priest at any time.
