A group of St. Peter’s parishioners practice silent prayer and meditation together each week throughout the year, and you’re invited to join them. From 6-6:30 p.m. every Wednesday (only the second Wednesday of the month during the summer), the meditation group meets on the 2nd floor of 313 Pine Street in Rev. Claire’s office. The group usually begins by listening to a brief reading or a short recorded teaching, followed by about 20 minutes in silence. Each person practices a whatever style of meditation or contemplative prayer resonates most for them. Learn more about the method practiced by many in the group, here. At the end of the meditation period, people often remain for conversation. All are welcome, whether or not you have previous meditation experience.
