This summer during the 10 a.m. adult education hour, we’ll be reading and studying the Gospel of Luke, and you are invited to participate!  We’ll meet every Sunday from June 18 through August 27 to discuss what we’ve read. By the end the summer, you will have read the whole Gospel in-depth. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the structure and content of Luke as well as a deeper connection to the person and mission of Jesus. Please join us as often as you’re able!  Sign-up here to get email updates throughout the summer:

Our Biblical readings (using the NRSV translation) will be accompanied by readings from a commentary, which will help to deepen your understanding of the context in which Luke was writing. Please plan to purchase your copy of the commentary before the summer begins. We will use The Gospel of Luke, by Luke Timothy Johnson (which is part of the Sacra Pagina series from publisher Michael Glazier). If you’d like to buy a copy from Head House Books, please email Sean at [email protected] so that he can place an order. You can also purchase you copy from Amazon, here. Any NRSV (New Revised Standard Version) Bible will work well, and there are many options available both in stores and online.
