Do you want to become a stronger and more articulate advocate for racial justice? Have you been wondering how to get more involved in working to combat racism and white supremacy? Are you interested in looking closely at yourself and your communities to discover how racism functions in the world around you? If so, please sign up here for this in-depth, experiential workshop!
This is the first of a series of three workshops St. Peter’s planning during this program year. So get in on the ground floor and begin building skills that will help you to become a more effective advocate and change-maker. This workshop will be facilitated by Toby Fraser, a trainer for SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) who has worked in both Philadelphia and Houston to help white folks build the skills and capacity needed to address white supremacy.
Toby has been active in grassroots organizing since 2001, and he has facilitated hundreds of workshops on a wide range of topics. Toby is currently the Community Education Manager at Lutheran Settlement House. He conducts and oversees trainings throughout the Philadelphia region focused on supporting survivors of domestic violence and dismantling toxic masculinity.
