We now have an easy fundraising method for our choir that costs you nothing! If you shop on amazon.com (or know anyone who does), please try this and pass the info on to friends and family.
AmazonSmile.com is the homepage of Amazon’s charitable foundation. If you use AmazonSmile as your Amazon homepage, almost every purchase you make will result in a 0.5 percent gift to the St. Peter’s Choir from Amazon. You are charged nothing for this; the only difference is that you use a different Amazon web address. Here’s how to start:
1. Go to AmazonSmile.com
2. On the right of this page, there will be a “choose your charity” box. Type in “St. Peter’s Choir, Philadelphia.” This will bring you to a page that will list us and possibly several other groups with similar names. We are the only St. Peter’s Choir, Philadelphia listed.
3. Press select.
4. Go back to AmazonSmile.com. Towards the top left, you should see something like “supporting St. Peter’s Choir, Philadelphia.” If you do, you’re all set! Bookmark/favorite this page for future shopping. You should never have to do anything again, Amazon will take care of the donations to us quarterly.
The prices you are charged as an Amazon customer are the same. There’s no disadvantage to shopping through AmazonSmile, it’s just a different home page. There are a few items (like automatic subscriptions) that won’t result in a donation, but your shopping is just as easy as ever.
